Georgina Claxton

Director

Physiotherapist, Women’s Health Physiotherapist & Clinical Pilates Instructor

Georgina is the Director and Principal Physiotherapist at Base Physiotherapy & Pilates and is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. She holds a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science and a Masters of Physiotherapy from The University of Sydney. She is also a Women’s Health Physiotherapist and Clinical Pilates Instructor.

With a lifelong passion for movement and exercise, Georgina founded her practice in early 2023, following extensive experience in both public and private sectors, including hospitals, private practices, Pilates studios, gyms, and rehabilitation clinics. This broad background equips her with a comprehensive understanding of diverse patient needs.

Georgina takes an evidence-based, holistic approach to injury recovery and pain management, focusing on addressing the root causes of pain for long-term improvement. Her specialties include lumbopelvic and hip pain, as well as pregnancy and post-natal Physiotherapy. She is passionate about supporting women through the unique challenges of pregnancy, childbirth, and recovery.

Georgina tailors each treatment plan to her patients’ specific needs and goals, focusing on building a strong foundation for lasting results. Through collaboration and education, she empowers her patients to take control of their health.

Madeleine Elazzi

Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist & Clinical Pilates Instructor

Madeleine is a dedicated Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with experience in a range of conditions from sports injuries to chronic pain. She is passionate about helping people move better, feel stronger, and stay injury free. 

With a Bachelor of Sports and Exercise Science from UTS and a Masters of Physiotherapy from the University of Sydney, she combines an in depth knowledge of the human body with a practical, active and hands-on approach to treatment. 

Madeleine has a long history of participating in a variety of sports, as well as coaching swimming and CrossFit. This background supplements her ability to work closely with clients to help them recover from injuries, improve performance, and build resilience through targeted, evidence-based programs. 

She has completed her APPI Clinical Pilates training, Advanced Dry Needling Qualifications, further training in the shoulder and women’s health.

Madeleine values a holistic, patient-centred approach and will work with you to get you back on track and keep you there.
