Common, but not something you need to live with.

Pelvic floor concerns are common at every stage of life, whether or not you've had children. A pelvic floor physio can assess what's going on and build a plan to help.

Urgency or frequencyRushing to the toilet, or going more often than you'd like.
Pressure or heavinessA dragging or heavy feeling in the pelvic area.

What we help with

Pelvic floor physio is not only Kegels.

The pelvic floor is a group of muscles that supports the pelvic organs and plays an important role in bladder and bowel control. Depending on your assessment, treatment may involve strength, relaxation, coordination, breathing, movement and education.

Not sure whether we can help? Call 0466 533 813 and we'll talk it through.

Bladder leaks & bladder problems

We assess leakage, urgency, frequency and other bladder symptoms and develop an individualised treatment program.

Pelvic organ prolapse

Pelvic floor physiotherapy can help you manage symptoms associated with prolapse and develop strategies to improve pelvic floor function.

Pelvic floor weakness & coordination

Help with pelvic floor weakness, difficulty coordinating the pelvic floor muscles, and other pelvic floor concerns.

Pelvic pain

Pelvic pain can have many contributing factors. Your physiotherapist can assess your symptoms and develop an appropriate treatment approach.

Bowel concerns & constipation

Pelvic floor physiotherapy may help with constipation, difficulty emptying the bowel and other pelvic floor related bowel concerns.

Abdominal separation

We can assess abdominal separation and guide you through appropriate exercises to rebuild strength and function.

Before & after hysterectomy

Pelvic floor preparation before your surgery and a guided recovery afterwards, so you can return to everyday life and exercise with confidence.

Why specialist training matters

Pelvic floor care works best when it's tailored to you.

Two people with the same symptom can have very different causes. Extensive training in pelvic health helps your physio understand what is contributing to your symptoms, so your plan is built on a thorough assessment rather than a guess.

The right approach for you

Pelvic floor muscles that are weak need a different plan to muscles that are tight or poorly coordinated. A trained physio assesses first, so your program suits what your body needs.

More than Kegels

The same exercises don't suit everyone. Specialist training means a wider toolkit: strength, relaxation, coordination, breathing and movement.

Care for every stage

From pregnancy and recovery after birth to menopause and after surgery, your needs change. Your physio can adapt your plan as your life does.
